Standards-based Design
Using up-to-date W3C CSS design standards compatible with 99% of the browsers out there, I separate structure from content.

I don't do Flash, FrontPage, huge graphics, rampant JavaScript, complex tabular structure or other 1990's-style techniques that result in slow-loading, bandwidth-hogging, search-engine-stalling, hard-to-maintain monstrosities.

Standard XHTML, JavaScript and CSS have more than enough tools to provide mouseover effects, dynamic menus, form controls and other interactive feedback to make your site interesting.
