WATERS GULCH DIGITAL CHOSEN TO PROVIDE

INTERACTIVE WEBSITE FOR AVBA

JACKSONVILLE, OREGON (July 4th, 2005)...Waters Gulch Digital has been chosen to supply interactive technology for the Applegate Valley Business Association (AVBA).

Waters Gulch Digital, a Little Applegate Valley web design company, was chosen to provide content management technology for the imminent roll-out of the first website to support the Applegate Valley Business Association.

Established in January, 2005 by Steffany Ryan, owner-operator of Ryan's Outpost in Ruch, the AVBA already has some 80 members.

"The timing was absolutely perfect," said Rik Nilsson of Waters Gulch Digital, "I'd been developing the miniCMS software for over two years, and when Tiffany mentioned the AVBA needed a database-driven website, I decided to donate it."

Nilsson has subsequently published the software as an Open Source Software (OSS) package through the online SourceForge.net service dedicated to the support of OSS internationally. "Within a week of the initial release on SourceForge, another developer in Fort Worth, Texas actually called me on the phone for advice in implementing the package for one of his clients." Nilsson said, "I was beside myself, because we developers usually only interact with instant messaging or email."

The software will allow casual computer users, such as the rotating AVBA staff, to manage AVBA membership records and website content from their home computers, through any web browser, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.

Waters Gulch Digital offers web design courses as well as commercial web design services. Nilsson has taught web design technology for several years, including sessions for the Rogue Community College. WGD specializes in elegant designs with database-driven applications to support e-commerce and dynamic site content.
