JACKSONVILLE, OREGON (September 25th, 2006)...Water Gulch Digital founder officially retired.

"The gummint now pays me to stay home and do what I like: web design!," says Rik Nilsson of Waters Gulch Digital, with a big grin, "I got my first Social Security check today." he goes on proudly. "But it doesn't mean I'm quitting. I still love to take on a challenge, and I still love PHP programming."

Opting for early retirement to maximize his benefits, Nilsson has only dropped the Technical Manual part of his business. "I can make up to $12,000 a year at this," he says, "before Uncle Sam starts cutting my benefit. I can teach standards-based design. I can build web servers. And I can design in XHTML and CSS and do custom [web] sites with PHP and MySQL database support." he grins, "That's what I love doing."
