Open Chamber of Commerce

Open Chamber of Commerce (OCOC) is a free MySQL/PHP web portal application specifically structured to give small organizations a dynamic web presence. Like general purpose applications such as Mambo and phpWebSite, it includes its own all-original browser-based content management system (CMS) and administration tools.

... the difference is, OCOC is already configured to use out-of-the-box as a Chamber of Commerce site.

Small towns, regional chambers, business associations, even churches and small businesses or large business departments can use OCOC to manage intranet-like publishing.

In OCOCv.2.1:

• On-page Editing! Log in and click a "New" button, and you get a form on the page you are viewing. Enter your new content, save and see the result immediately.
• Click an "Edit" button and get a form right on the page. Make your changes and see the result immediately.
• Improved session control, including automatic logout after a specified time.
• Retains all the familiarity and power of the page configuration, menu editing and other tools of the original backend CMS.

In OCOCv.2.0:

• Scripted installation! -- creates your database (if you have rights to...), installs the required tables, and auto-populates them with example content.
• Internationalization -- expandable language translation files for all fixed (non-dynamic) page texts. (Change languages with a single configuration setting, without re-installing. So far only U.S. English, but the capability is there for translations.)
• Optional top and side banner ads -- assign to specific pages, track views and clicks -- permits organizations to generate income selling ad space. Turn on/off with a simple single-letter setting.
• "Yellow Pages"-like printable member directory, fully CSS controlled -- export the directory in XML or comma-delimited formats, too!
• Three-level member status -- highlight member listings based on a graduated membership fee schedule. Ability to upload and display logos, small photos.
• Keyword search of content and events from any page.
• Archiving scheme.
